Cynthia Bourgeault

Cynthia Bourgeault es una mística, ministra/sacerdote, a-veces-eremita, escritora, maestra y líder de retiros espirituales, de renombre internacional, dedicada a recuperar el antiguo camino contemplativo cristiano y de Sabiduría, para llevarlo a la práctica en la vida contemporánea. Tiene una visión teológica amplia e inclusiva, basada en los más antiguos elementos de la tradición cristiana. Las prácticas contemplativas de la Oración Centrante y kenosis, vaciamiento, son para ella fundamentales en el camino hacia la experiencia de Dios en toda realidad.

Somos una red creciente de buscadores de un Camino de Sabiduría, provenientes de todas partes del mundo, que nos apoyamos mutuamente mientras trabajamos con nuestra maestra fundadora Cynthia Bourgeault (ver LINK) para recuperar el camino de Sabiduría Cristiana.

This chant is inspired by Cynthia Bourgeault’s Holy Week Liturgies. The lyrics are drawn from the Song of Songs 8:6, and the original arrangement is by Wisdom Chant Writer Susan Latimer, and entitled Place Me as a Seal Upon Your Heart

CARMEN HORST is a pastor at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church in Goshen, IN.  She is a native of Argentina and is extensively involved in Wisdom Waypoints’ international and  Spanish language work, most recently co-leading the Spanish reading circle of Cynthia Bourgeault’s The Meaning of Mary Magdalene. Carmen graduated from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, where she studied Christian Formation and Spiritual Direction. She has been offering Spiritual Direction since 2010. Carmen is married to Eric, and they have two daughters.
