In this advanced teaching series, Cynthia Bourgeault builds on the foundation of her 2013 book, The Holy Trinity and the Law of Three. Weaving the Christian mystical path with Gurdjieff’s metaphysics, Cynthia layers a dynamic Trinity onto a cosmogonic Law of Three to reveal a driveshaft that unfolds the Ray of Creation. What follows is a breathtaking journey from a dark and formless nothing into the something we call Home.
Across five sessions, Cynthia moves through the history of the “ongoing Christian conundrum” which has rendered the Trinity little more than a theological afterthought into exploring how the Trinity was always quietly baked into Gurdjieff’s metaphysics where it is able to come fully alive, unfolding a sweeping cosmic breadth in which its remarkable mystical insights finally become fully coherent.

These lectures are an advanced teaching series and generally not recommended for students just beginning with Cynthia’s material. Familiarity and comfort with G.I. Gurdjieff’s themes, vocabulary, and work is needed. A preread of The Holy Trinity and the Law of Three will be highly useful.
The course contains five lectures and one Gurdjieff exercise (within Session 1). Each session includes a video, audio, and transcript file. This on-demand course is available to begin immediately and includes lifetime access. This teaching occurred in November 2024 at the Claymont Retreat Center in West Virginia.
