Wisdom Work Weekend in WV facilitated by Andrew Breitenberg

In December 2021 Andrew Breitenberg facilitated the first Wisdom Work Weekend at Claymont in West Virginia — a camp which sits at the corner of 4th Way and NonDual as Cynthia might put it. At our first gathering our group verified once and for all the critical importance of cohering virtual work with on-the-ground gathering, not to mention the powerful potential and stability offered to our physical gathering as a result of our many online meetings whether in the same group or with others in the wider wisdom network. These times we share at Claymont together are about just that: embodying—incarnating the wisdom our heads alone glimpse only dimly, creating experiential conditions by which to contact a sharper mirror, and so find clarity, finer edges, brilliance. Our typical Wisdom Work Weekend includes morning collection, Gurdjieff Being-Exercises, working with daily inner tasks and themes, physical outdoor work, condition-making for self observation, small-group dialogue, large-group reflection, chanting, piano music, Movements, teaching, cooking for the whole group, mansion-maintenance, bonfires, feasts and Armagnac toasts. Once again we are planning to have another Wisdom Work Weekend:

Cap at 40, first-come, first serve; deposit request sometime mid-February.
Claymont is in Charles Town, WV (Dulles airport 50 min. by car)
Beginning with Dinner on April 6 and concluding with lunch on April 10, 2022 (Palm Sunday)
Cost approx. $500; scholarship available

About Andrew Breitenberg

After living in Amsterdam and Cape Town for 11 years as an art director and street artist, Andrew  moved to the US (with a life partner and two young kids in tow) to become a Principal at Straight Path Management in Virginia Beach, a consulting firm that does strategic planning for nonprofits. He is also the Executive Director of Parallel Group, a 501(c)3 recently formed to facilitate wisdom and Fourth Way events with a special emphasis on young people.

Andrew was mentored for two years by Richard Rohr (2013-14), after which he joined an early iteration of The Living School in Albuquerque, NM. He has worked with Cynthia Bourgeault since 2016 and two years ago came under the direction of Joseph Azize (Sydney). Andrew takes freelance design projects (including Cynthia’s Eye of the Heart) and maintains an ongoing scripture translation called Pilgrim Bible.
