The seven ‘I am’ statements in the Gospel of John are a window into who Jesus is and the heart of his teaching. From the perspective of Jesus’ native language of Aramaic, these statements can also reveal who we are – and how we can enter more deeply into Divine Presence through the heart of Jesus’ teachings. Drawing on the work of Dr. Neil Doglas-Klotz, Cynthia Bourgeault, and others, this weekend invites us to enter the I am sayings through this deeper lens. Together we’ll explore how these teachings open us to Presence, identity, and deep belonging in God and the heart of reality. Through guided reflection, chant, movement, and Centering Prayer, we’ll listen for the living resonance within each phrase. Our time will be nurturing and unhurried, offering space for personal insight and gentle sharing. All are warmly welcomed to rest, receive, and rediscover these timeless words.
The weekend draws on a familiar Wisdom approach of teaching, chanting, sacred movement, Centering Prayer, and guided meditation. All levels of experience and practice are welcome — the event is open to all who are drawn to this work.
