Wisdom Way: Knowing, Loving, and Being; A Year-Long Program with Marcella Kraybill-Greggo

October 23, 2022 - May 22, 2023

This Wisdom School in everyday life will introduce the rhythm and tools of a “Wisdom way of knowing”, or an “integral way of knowing”, which engages and harmonizes our three intelligence centers: heart, mind and movement. Together we will explore a Wisdom way of knowing, loving and being. Presence, attention and being will guide our practice. Each Wisdom School day will involve both a teaching component and an experiential portion, with a balance of centering, teaching, lectio divina and gentle body prayer.

What Can Participants Expect?

Each Fall Wisdom gathering we will engage Wisdom teachings that invite us to expand our knowing by embracing each of our Centers of Knowing. In each session we will engage a Wisdom teaching by Cynthia Bourgeault. Together we will unpack these ‘deep and wide’ Wisdom pearls putting them into practice throughout our Wisdom School day.  This Wisdom School in everyday life is particularly relevant for (but not limited to) spiritual directors. Engaging all three centers of knowing expands our capacity and the dimensions for listening and engaging the Divine.

Our October Wisdom School opening Retreat will focus on introducing the three centered Wisdom way of knowing, loving and being, with a special focus on the heart center. November 21 our focus will be on the movement center and the intelligence that body prayer and sensation offer our spiritual journey. On December 19 our Wisdom School emphasis will be on the intellectual center, with a particular focus on the integration of all three centers flowing together. Each Wisdom School session will explore practical ways of weaving these streams of a Wisdom way of knowing, loving and being into our daily life.

In Winter/Spring, our Wisdom School in everyday life will focus on Wisdom as Presence, Attention and Being.  January’s half day gathering will offer an afternoon of Integration of all three centers with a focus on the Threshold of the New Year – opening with more of ourselves to the love that is rising to meet us.   February’s gathering will focus on Wisdom as Presence, Self Remembering as a practice of returning to our whole self.   In March our theme will be Attention through the practice of Self Observation. In April our focus will turn to Being through the practice of Non-Identification. Our closing retreat will invite an integration of the full Wisdom school: Wisdom Way of Knowing, Loving and Being. Together we will engage and integrate three centered knowing and practices of Presence, Attention and Being.

Enrollment is open for our program beginning in the fall of 2022.
