Free online event connecting our global community:
1:30 – 3:00pm Eastern Time USA / 7:30 – 9:00pm South Africa Time
We will PAUSE TOGETHER as a Wisdom Collective, to honor and welcome this thin time of the Equinox.”
Co-lead by Penny Joy Day of South Africa & Marcella Kraybill-Greggo of PA, USA
The equinox happens twice a year, heralding the beginning of autumn and spring, about 22nd September and 20th March. We pause as the sun crosses the equator, when day and night, light and dark are of equal length (unlike a solstice which brings the longest or shortest day of the year). The equinox holds us globally, in equal measure of light and dark, day and night. The journey of the sun represents our spiritual journey, our Easter journey, from darkness to light, from death to rebirth, as in nature. This Lenten equinox wisdom pause invites us to gather as global community, to breathe together, to pray together, to find our balance.
