Advent Retreat Series: The Way of Mary with Marcella Kraybill-Greggo and Henry Schoenfield

Join us Tuesdays in December as we dip our toe into Camille Helminski’s book The Way of Mary. (No need to purchase the book.) Camille Helminski, the wife of beloved Kabir Helminski, authors this book with the hope that people would engage this not as a book to be read but as a relationship of being with Mary, similar to the experience of Lectio Divina in the Christian Tradition.
Our time together each Tuesday will be an experience of being with Mary through a weaving of three-centered prayer, heart-based sharing around Camille’s moving writings, and embodied gesture and chant. Unpacking new insights about Mary’s upbringing to Anna and Joachim, we will journey through Mary’s birth and childhood, on up through her experience of being a young woman called to birth the Christ Child. Together we will explore themes of longing, devotion, and what it means to be a Living Embodiment of Love.
The invitation of this Retreat is to an ongoing accompaniment with Mary, not only for the Days of the Retreat, but over the 2 week journey of these 3 Retreat Days. An ICON of Mary will be sent daily to deepen our Visio Divina practice of journeying with Mary. Each Retreat Day will be recorded.
Come for all three Advent Retreat Days …or come for any Retreat Day that suits you. Note that to attend the full series, please enroll for each Tuesday individually. Enrolling for one date, is just for that one offering, not for the full series of three Tuesdays.
