The Light Within and the Rebirth of Conscience with Cynthia Bourgeault, Paulette Meier, and Marcelle Martin

Cynthia Bourgeault, along with Marcelle Martin and Paulette Meier, invite you to join them at this Quaker Wisdom School at Pendle Hill, open to Quakers and Wisdom Seekers of all faiths. We will explore how the Light of God within not only illuminates divine reality but shows the ways that individuals and society are living contrary to God’s Way. The Light in our conscience reveals truth to us, then sends us forth to witness to that truth with integrity and inner force.
Cynthia will draw from classical and enduring mystical principles as well as from her work on the Imaginal Realm and material from G.I. Gurdjieff to explore conscience as the backbone of imaginal exchange and cosmic service. Marcelle will draw from early and contemporary Quaker experiences of how divine guidance has led people and communities to witness and work for transformation, providing moral leadership and moving society to better care for the common good. And Paulette will deepen your learning and open your heart by leading chants based on the words of passionate Quakers who experienced the living presence of God. Our time together will include communal worship, Centering Prayer, personal study, and conscious practical work.
